Privacy Policy

The Dusk Box rescues surplus baked goods from partner bakeries in Gurgaon and delivers them to customers the same evening. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do. It covers the Dusk Box mobile app and theduskbox.com.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name, your mobile number, and your delivery address (tower and flat). We need your number to identify your account and to message you about your order, and your address to deliver to it.
When you place an order: what you ordered, when, the amount, and any delivery notes you write.
If you turn on notifications: a device token that lets us send you one reminder in the early evening. You can turn this off at any time in your phone's settings, and we will stop.
If you join the waitlist: your name, number, society and locality, so we know where to expand next.
If you apply as a bakery partner: your bakery's name and location, and your contact person's name, role, email and phone.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect your location. Your delivery address is what you type in.
- We do not take payment inside the app, so we never see or store your card or bank details. Payment is made by UPI directly from your own banking app to ours.
Who can see your information
Only The Dusk Box team, and only to run your order. Our database restricts access so that signing in shows you your own orders and nobody else's.
We use Supabase to host our database. They store the data on our behalf and do not use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept while the business needs them, for accounts and for your own order history. If you want your account and its history deleted, message us on WhatsApp at +91 96962 00200 or email theduskbox@gmail.com, and we will delete it within 30 days.
Your choices
- See your data: your order history is in the app, under "Your boxes".
- Correct it: change your details in the app, or message us.
- Delete it: ask us and we will remove your account and its history.
- Stop notifications: turn them off in your phone's settings.
Children
The Dusk Box is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top.
